Frequently Asked Questions

SealSaver is a premium 3-in-1 food freshness system designed to help Australian households keep food fresher for longer, reduce food waste, save money, and simplify food storage. The system combines a portable rechargeable vacuum sealer, reusable vacuum zip bags with one-way valves, Mason jar vacuum sealing capability, and it also works with compatible vacuum containers with a one-way valve (sold separately).

SealSaver works by removing excess air from specially designed storage bags, jars and containers. Reducing oxygen exposure helps slow oxidation, moisture loss, freezer burn, flavour deterioration and quality degradation. The result is food that maintains freshness, texture, appearance and flavour for longer when stored correctly.

Freshness improvements vary depending on food type, storage temperature, moisture content and handling practices. Removing excess air helps slow oxidation and moisture loss. However, exact storage times cannot be guaranteed because every food and storage environment is different.

SealSaver works with standard Mason-style jars that use regular mouth lids or wide mouth lids. The jars must use two-piece metal canning lids.
